Our Story

Once upon a time in the year 2007, Miss Kristen was a 20 something year old dance teacher, teaching at a studio that was closing its doors after 27 years. Not wanting to say goodbye to her beloved students, she decided to open her own studio. In 2008, Kreationz - School of Cheerleading and Dance was born!

Kreationz opened its doors in Boronia with 15 students, which quickly grew to 50 within a month. In 2011, Miss Kristen took the plunge and opened another location in Emerald, followed by a third location in the picturesque Yarra Valley in 2016. Also in 2016, the studio had an official name change to Kreationz Cheer and Dance.

After nine years operating out of halls, 2017 was the year that the Boronia studio found a home, in a fully equipped studio in Ferntree Gully. In 2019, the Emerald studio also left the dusty school hall for a fully equipped studio, located right in the heart of town.

Today, Kreationz is home to over 380 students and offers recreational classes for fun and fitness, as well as competitive classes for dancers who wish to take it to the next level.

Kreationz boasts a renowned Assistant Teacher Education Program (which has seen a number of students progress to teach in the industry), and is also home to the award winning Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Ballet pre-school dance classes, as seen on the Nick Jr and Nickelodeon television channels, as well as the Dance Cirque circus program.

Safety is of utmost importance to the Kreationz team. We have the following things in place to ensure that your child can feel safe and always supported:

Regularly reviewed Child Safe Policy including a zero tolerance to bullying.
Fully trained and qualified staff who have Working with Children Checks.
All teachers practice Safe Dance technique.
Fully sprung Tarkett floors at Emerald and Ferntree Gully studios, with semi-sprung floorboards at other locations, to help reduce injuries and protect growing bodies.
Professional acro mats for safe landings in Acro, Cheerleading and Dance Cirque classes.
Occasional age-appropriate mental health seminars with trained professionals.
Public Liability and Student Accident Insurance.
COVID-Safe Plan.
